AZT Tapes - Death Can Be Virtual (excerpt)

In 1995, a couple of guys got together and started bending various bits of electronic kit to spit out various strange an unheard aural shapes. It was played live and eventually recorded in a small studio in Lincolnshire. They went on to chart success, leading the surge in the electronica movement. Oh. Hang on, that last bit was the Chemical Brothers. Having said that, Aztechnology (for it was they), were told following a gig that they were better that the aforementioned brothers, who the chap had seen the previous week. We were quite pleased with that at the time.

Anyway, we're currently cleaning up some old tapes of Aztechnology from 21 (count 'em) years ago to put back out there. Here's a snippet.

Graham & Dan have been making music together and apart since the late 80s. Somehow we ended up two 40 somethings dreaming of being 20 somethings. A steady trickle of music created hundreds of miles apart has started to flow stronger, so we have lot of new and interesting stuff lining up.

They have been described as 'Underworld and Fluke have a Warpy face-off'. And they are very pleased with that.
